Publisert: 14.06.10

FISHING
Fishing closer than 100 metres from a fish farm is prohibited (the limit is marked with buoys). The ban applies to both sports and commercial fishermen.

BOAT TRAFFIC
Approaching a fish farm closer than 20 metres is prohibited (the limit is marked with buoys).

SANCTIONS
Any breach of the regulations will result in penal sanctions.

BACKGROUND FoR THE REGULATIONS
Food production of this nature demands strict compliance with hygiene and safety requirements. Unregulated fishing and traffic increase the risk for the spread of infection and stress to the fish. Similarly, damage incurred to nets by propellers and moorings breaking loose can lead to fish escaping.
